I think that the main problem is that a lot of people are indifferent about him now, totally putting Dean in the first place and wanting Castiel to replace him.
The worst thing is that the writers themselves seem thinking that way too :/
I'm tired of Sam always being in the wrong, always being the guy who did the wrong things in the show while he ALWAYS do things the way he does because he has GOOD intentions but the show never barely shows that, prefering showing Dean's way of thinking.
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Dean, I just don't like how the show isn't balanced when it concerns the brothers. And, obviously, I don't like Castiel either.
